Sawasiray Trek to Machu Picchu 3 Days

DAY 01: CUSCO – CALCA – HUAMAN CHOQUE – CANCHA CANCHA

Pick-up time from the hotel: 05:15 a.m to 5:30 a.m., then we’ll continue in our private vehicle to Calca where we’re going to stop there for half an hour for breakfast and buy some things that may be missing; then, we’ll continue our journey to the community Huaman Shock (3,500 masl) starting point of walk. In this place, we will meet our muleteer and horses and then continue our hike to the mountain of Yana Cocha Lagoon for two hours and three hours (4,450 masl) where we will have lunch and you can swim in the lake or take advantage of a nap.

Then we continue to step (Sawasiray 5,050 meters) the highest point of our journey and also the panoramic view then descend to Cancha Cancha we will stay there the first night camping and dinner.

DAY 02: CANCHA CANCHA – HUARAN – OLLANTAYTAMBO – “AGUAS  CALIENTES/HOT WATERS”

In the morning at 06:30 a.m Andean breakfast after feeding ourselves, we’ll continue walking down to the road sawed of the Andeans, they daily use the walk is 4 hours until there Huaran, we’re gonna take our vehicle to Urubamba, lunch at the lodge. There, you can relax in hammocks or green area until train time. Then, we’ll continue to Ollantaytambo for 20 minutes to take the train to “Aguas Calientes”, the train arrives in 2 hours in the train station, there will be a transfer to head to the hostel and then we’ll have dinner.

DAY 03: MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO

The most awaited day of all in this case is the walk half an hour which begins at 04:30 a.m from “Aguas Calientes” to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. At 06:00 a.m, the entrance to Machu Picchu is opened, then you can enter to take pictures without a lot of people or when the first sunlight. At 06:30 am starts the guided tour for two hours and then you will have free time to explore or you could climb the mountain of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu; then, in the afternoon, return by bus to “Aguas Calientes” station, so that you can take the train back to Ollantaytambo at the station the transfer will search for you by name or group name, then you’ll board a tourist bus to Cusco for 2 hours, arrival to the Square or to your hostel.
