SUMMARY: Take a special tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour starts with the pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at around 7 am. Start the route visiting a textile center and the archaeological site in Chinchero. Then discover the beautiful landscapes of the terraces of Moray and the salt mines of Maras. Then enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the restaurant in Urubamba. After this, learn about the history of the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Finally, visit the Inca ruins of Pisac.
VIP VALLEY ITINERARY.
Pick up from your hotel from 6:30 to 7:00 a.m., once the whole group is complete, we will head north. Our first visit will be to Chinchero, a picturesque village, where we can see agricultural terraces, the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, the beautiful colonial temple built on the foundations of an Inca building and observe the whole process of wool from washing and spinning to become beautiful textiles. Continuing with our tour we will arrive at Moray, where we will observe several natural pits that were terraces for agricultural experimentation. Then we will continue to the salt mines of Maras, in this place we will observe the natural process of salt extraction that dates from the time of the Incas. Then we will go to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the inhabitants of the jungle. After lunch we will go to the town of Pisac where we will visit the archaeological complex of Pisac, built in the period of the Inka Pachacuteq. Its location is strategic, since it is located on top of a mountain, which allows you to have a view of the entire valley that went to Antisuyo. At the end of the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving in Cusco at 7:00 p.m. approximately.
