Itinerary

MOUNTAIN BIKING TOURS TO AUSANGATE the most incredible mountain bike experience in South America. The Ausangate Glacier (6380 m) is located 4 hours south of Cusco. We will cross on bikes 3 high mountain passes, some of them reaching over 5,000 meters (16500 ft.) On our journey, we will ride near turquoise lagoons, rivers of high mountains and spectacular valleys, always accompanied by the view of the imposing Ausangate Glacier.

because it is the highest mountain in cusco, and it has beautiful views like animals, that is why it is important. also it is close to the rainbow mountain.

The pick-up time will be at 4:00am from your hotel in our private car, then we go to Pitumarca town for breakfast for 40 minutes, then we continue to the tip road of Chilca (5000masl) from there we will push our bike for 2 hours to the pass of apachetas which is at 5000masl highest point of the road, before starting the downhill we will have 30 minutes to take pictures of the majestic Ausangate and its lagoons, also the guide will explain and give you instructions on the handling of the bike.

Then we will start the technical section with curves and rocks for 30 minutes crossing lagoons, waterfalls, rocky single trails all the way down to Lauramarca village where it ends our biking adventure, finally return in our car and transport back to Cusco for 3 hours approximately.

Start time: 

To avoid crowds, we start this ride early at 04:00 hrs., so you can meet your guide and have your bike ready

​Pick-up time:

Varies depending on the location of your hotel. If you are coming from Cusco, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation at 04:00 hrs., if you are already in the Sacred Valley pickup will be at 03:00 am.

Time spent in transit:

Cusco – Chilca pass: 04 hours.
Urubamba – Cusco – Chilca pass: 5hour

All the reservations are guaranteed and confirmed after we receive the deposit in our bank account, or recieve in a Wester Union office. After that to reconfirm your request, we are going to send a SERVICE VOUCHER by fax or mail three days late to fax number or mail address you give us.
