DEATH ROAD CUSCO BIKING
The option is between the Andes and the jungle, it is designed for all types of cyclists because it has trails and single-tracks throughout the journey. We call the Death Route because it has cliffs of 200 meters, the descent is 73 km from the Andes with over 4400m to the jungle with 1500m, we will be cycling next to the rivers, waterfalls, besides we will see beautiful views of the glaciers and jungle.
The pickup is at 5.00hrs., we head towards Urubamba in the sacred valley where we stop for breakfast, later we will continue to Yanamayo pass (4480m), there we will get ready and start the descent.
On the way we will have the option to do very technical narrow roads for people who have experience in downhill or open road for the ones with no experience, on our way we will see waterfalls, pass through small streams, then we will reach the cloud forest where we can see a variety of species of orchids, once there the temperature starts to change and the weather gets warmer and appreciate coffee, banana and coca plantations. We have lunch, finally we will load the bikes and come back to Cusco for 3 hours, we arrive approximately at 19:00hrs.
Start time:
To avoid crowds, we start this ride early at 06:00 hrs., so you can meet your guides and have your bike ready
Pick-up time:
Varies depending on the location of your hotel. If you are coming from Cusco, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation at 05:00hrs., if you are already in the Sacred Valley pickup will be at 06:00 am.
