Because our Tour is the only which starts from a high mountain close to Moray you can enjoy a unique view of the whole Moray ruins as well as the Vilcanota mountain range, the Chicón peak (5250m) and the stunning Verónica peak at 5682m.
After visiting Moray we go further on Downhill to the Sacred Valley where we will have lunch/box-lunch. Our trip will go further on by private car to Santa Maria, where you will have stay overnight.
The itinerary has 2 different technical levels, designed especially for you.
Our guides are downhill professionals that have won competitions in Cusco, and throughout Peru. They have great knowledge of bicycle mechanics.
- Optional: Visiting Salt-Mines near Maras.
- Optional: River-Rafting in Santa Maria.
Tour Day 2 “Inka jungle Trail And Zipline… Santa Maria to Santa Teresa (Inka Trail)
Rise at 5.30am, shake off your weary limbs and enjoy the finest indigenous coffee prepared by your landlady for breakfast which is at 6am. Under dawn skies you will catch a bus to the starting point of your walk which gets progressively steeper, until arriving at the welcoming family restaurant in Santa Rosa, where you can relax in hammocks, admiring the coca plantations and take on refreshments while being entertained by the family monkey. After a short while you will reach a real Inka Trail, which winds around precipitous slopes and sheer drops for approximately half a mile. Be warned this is not for people who suffer from vertigo! The descent continues for just over two hours until you reach Qellomayo.
From Qellomayo you will catch a bus to the lodge where you will spend the night. Upon your arrival to your hostel, you will have lunch and for those who love adrenaline, towards the highest South American zip line. Approximately 2 and half hours of absolute fun and adrenaline, 2500 meters of cables in six sections. After this great experience, back to the charming lodge located in the middle of the jungle. Before dinner and before a good night sleep you will still have time to enjoy the hot springs of Cocal mayo, an amazing place in the middle of nowhere…
Tour Day 3: Inka jungle Trail LLactapata or Putucusi
Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes A choice waits at the outset of the third day: either continue trekking, or choose to fly through the air 150 meters above the ground over rivers and jungle! The zip line option includes transport to the zip line facility and 6 zips.
Are you brave enough to lean back into the upside down monkey position? Or spread your wings and dive head first in the incredible superman position. Make sure you book your zip line ahead of time to ensure the safest, highest, fastest zips (there are several other zip tours of lesser quality). The group will re-form at the Hidrolectrica station for lunch before continuing the trek.
Another three hours trekking along the train tracks and the raging river brings you to the tourist town of Aguas Calientes. Travelers have the option to visit the local hot springs or relax and explore the town before dinner. Make sure you make it an early night to be awake for the ascent to the jewel of the tour: Machu Picchu!
Tour Day 4: Machu Picchu To Cusco
An early rise today, as you will take the first bus to Machu Picchu at 5.30am, reaching Machu Picchu at 6am, which with luck will coincide with a beautiful sunrise! Your guide will leave no stones unturned but feel free to challenge their knowledge of Inka history. Afterwards you have free time to dally with the llamas and show off your photographic skills.
